As the club begins to build up speed and the left hip makes the first move down the target line before it turns backward, the width of the stance will hold up just fine. If you have a tendency to lose your balance, your stance might be to narrow. w w w (dot) golferbreak80 (dot) c0m

He has a lot of things in this viedo that are very observent. He has a great similarlity with hogan with his reload on the downswing much like hogan. Not all of us have the flexibility in our forearms and wrists to get that load on the downswing so be careful not to hit a lot of double crosses by coping someone that has more atletic ability then yourself. When he talks about getting your left hand under the clubface in a cupped position he is dead on right. Just be sure you can do it.

I think I’ve watched all of your videos, and I find them not only educational, but very entertaining. Thanks for sharing your interpretation of Hogan’s swing and thoughts. I’m a 4 handicap trying to get to scratch and find these little clips very valuable. Please keep up the good work. Sit down with cameraman and drink a beer knowing your work is appreciated!

you should try those “Black Widow” spikes that Soft Spike manufactures… They offer MORE traction than a metal spike ever did… keep up the golf instruction vids… There is more yet to discover.

Dear Sevam1,
Do you think this is why Fred Couples has been such a great ball striker? I noticed that unlike most tour pros, he sets his left hand in a very obvious “cup” and so it looks stronger than it actually is. And without a noticeable weight transfer, he must really turn pressure into the inside of his right foot to get such fluid devastation!

I read Power Golf and Hogan mentions ‘digging in’ with the inside of his golf spikes. I found this helped - and then your videos really helped. I have tried for the last year to steepen a deep-flat swing but it flares up under pressure and I hit a block or duck-hook. Using pronation and now, with the torques described, my swing works with my natural flatter action - and better under pressure - it helps to have my natural flat swing under pressure. If only I could putt I’d play people for money!

By the way, if you watch the “Hogan SloMo Iron” swing post, you might notice that he didn’t start the swing as you say.

i saw that hogans pre shoot routine is when he takes his pratice swing by stepping back and stepping forward, why does he do this?
sevam1 am 26.01.2010 um 3:08 pm #
I was very good at hitting golfballs and I’ve just never forgotten how to do that. On the golf course never got better than +1 handicap. Mediocre to poor putter. Quit basically when I couldn’t play in spikes anymore. Took up other interests. My ballstriking will never be as good as it was in 1997 when you could still wear metal spikes at most golf courses.

You’re right. It is all (or mostly) baloney. Also, agree that, with that swing, there isn’t much more you can do to improve it.
Still, there might be something that you missed that Hogan also said…and relates to your putting.
We do compliment you for your efforts. We know what it takes.

Who’d you learn all this stuff from, some funny looking guy with a tail who wanted you to sign away something about some city in Korea? I wish I’d gotten what you’re giving away when I was young, but I’ll take it now. GREAT TRUTHFUL INFORMATION that works. Thanks. I love The Move, right foot screwed clockwise into the ground . I’ve finally found the answer to my questions about the pivot. I can rest peacefully now. All great stuff. Thank you!!

Mann….what a great looking swing nice and tight too. You don’t even look like your trying hard. I do agree about some instructors, they’re definitely full of bologna. Amen to that!
